This week is brought to you by the letter G

It's called light painting. Pretty cool, eh? This image was taken at 10:00 at night using an ISO 100, 30 second exposure, and 4.5 apature. During that 30 seconds, I'm running aroung shining my flashlight on different parts of the building. I wonder what the neighbors thought. Probably thought I was crazy... but who cares... it really makes the building glow.

G is for glow.

This week is brought to you by the letter F

Two things about my dad that affected my youth: He worked away from home most of the time and he wouldn't have anything to do with church. So, often, when I needed some extra help that required a father's touch, church related or otherwise, I went to my Uncle Bob. When it was time to build a pinewood derby car... Uncle Bob. Time to get baptized... Uncle Bob. Need bailed out of jail at 2 in the morning... well, my dad was home that time, so I called him, but if he'd been working out of town that night, I'd have called Uncle Bob. Though he was born my dad's older brother, he has always been like a father to me.

F is for fathers.

This week is brought to you by the letter E

Nick LaSalle's friends all call him "Sally." Watching him on his bike brings all kinds of "E" words to mind; exciting... energetic... endangered species. He told me he wants to keep jumping higher - he's saving his money so he can buy a 40 foot ramp. A 40 foot ramp... where does a 16 year old kid put a 40 foot ramp? And why does he want a 40 foot ramp? So he can do one thing. Elevate.

E is for elevate.
