This week is brought to you by the letter D

The best Sundays for me usually include at least one of three things; sleeping in, snapping photos or taking the Jeep out for a spin. The great thing about having a Jeep is taking the top off and seeing the whole world as it passes. A roof on your car boxes you in; a Jeep without a top lets you see and smell and feel the whole world. And sometimes Maren comes with me. And sometimes I get to take pictures. I love it when we go for a Sunday drive.

D is for drive.

This week is brought to you by the letter C

It was 104 in Salt Lake today. But what's great about living in Salt Lake is that a 30 minute drive can take you up a canyon to a quiet spot and 80 degree weather. Add a group of good friends, a bag of hot dogs and a cold beverage, and you've pretty much described the perfect summer night. Oh, and don't forget the campfire.

C is for campfire.

Last weekend we were in Yellowstone. These were taken in Norris Geyser Basin.

This week is brought to you by the letter B

If you're ever travelling through West Yellowstone, Montana, be sure to stop in and pull up a seat at the soda fountain in Eagle's Store. The bar has been there for a hundred years - the sodas are fresh.

B is for Barstools.

This week is brought to you by the letter A

There are those who question whether photography is a higher form of art. I submit that anyone who's looking to find art in photography need only to spend a little time with my friend Justin's work. Justin just finished his 30 Strangers project and I was fortunate enough to take a few pictures at the gallery showing during the opening night festivities. Here's one of my favorite images from that night.

The next thing...

Now that the show I was in is over, it's time to focus some of my creative juices into photography again. So here's what I'm thinking I should do for the next project: Letter of the Week. See, I want to do something managable... achievable... creative... and hopefully interesting. Mostly, I wanted it to be fun. Now, what's more fun than Seseme Street. I love how every episode of Seseme Street is brought to you by the letter ___. So I thought, why not posting a picture every week that is brought to you by a letter. And since there are 26 weeks left in 2010, I'm going to start with A and work myself right through to Z. I may even throw in a PPOD or a random thought or image as well. So here's the beginning of the next thing: 26 weeks, 26 letters, loads of fun.

Enjoy.
